Al Hilal’s Brazilian attacking midfielder Neymar has reportedly warned his fellow Brazilians at Real Madrid that they may find it difficult to play with new signing, French footballer Kylian Mbappe.

Both players have played together 136 times as teammates at French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), scoring 54 goals between them between 2017 and 2023.

But months after 25-year-old Mbappe joined Cristiano Ronaldo’s former teammate at Real Madrid, Neymar warned his Brazilian football colleagues at the Spanish club about the “disastrous” French footballer.

Accordingly GoalNeymar warned his Brazilian compatriots Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao that playing with the French international could sometimes be “catastrophic”.

In an interview with a European radio station, journalist Cyril Hanouna said: “The Brazilians (at Real Madrid) are friends with Neymar. There has always been war between Neymar and Mbappe.”

“Neymar sent a letter to the Brazilians about Mbappe, telling them it was catastrophic, it was hell.”

Although the two play for different clubs, the allegedly frosty relationship between the former PSG teammates does not seem to have improved.

Mbappe had previously described his relationship with Neymar as “hot and cold,” and that has remained unchanged since September 2022.

While Neymar recovers from a serious knee injury sustained at Al Hilal last year, Mbappe is expected to play for his favourite Spanish club in their Champions League title defence match against Stuttgart on Tuesday.
