NFL Week 6 player prop picks, best bets for Derrick Henry, Jalen Hurts, Jahmyr Gibbs

NFL Week 6 player prop picks, best bets for Derrick Henry, Jalen Hurts, Jahmyr Gibbs

Alabama football fans continue to support the Crimson Tide’s outstanding performances from previous years even after joining the NFL, and betting on a player’s prop markets can make the viewing experience more exciting.

I break down the matchups and best bets for some of the fan favorites, including RB Derrick Henry, QB Jalen Hurts and RB Jahmyr Gibbs. I searched the best sports betting sites to find the best odds for each recommended side bet.

Derrick Henry player prop prediction

Longest rushing attempt of 17.5 yards

Opportunities: +110 at bet365 sportsbook (bet $10 pays $21)

Henry and the Ravens face a Commanders defense prone to runaways. Washington is giving up 130 rushing yards per game and allowing 5.1 yards per carry (second worst in the NFL).

Despite running like a faucet against the rush, the Commanders have only given up three touchdowns on the ground, so I’ll avoid Henry’s touchdown scoring props.

The Ravens boast the league’s most dominant rushing attack, led by King Henry with 572 yards. Derrick’s seven runs for 20 yards are more than any other ball carrier.

Outside of Week 1, Henry has rushed for 29 yards or more on a single run in every game this season. His six yards per touch also ranks ninth among RBs.

Jalen Hurts player prop prediction

Over 250 yards

Opportunities: +150 at Fanatics Sportsbook ($10 bet pays $25.00)

The Browns headed to a Week 6 matchup with the Eagles. Cleveland is great at pressuring the QB, allowing just 184 pass yards per game.

Despite the tough matchup, I think Hurts will have a field day.

Philadelphia is recovering from a much-needed bye and WR AJ Brown is back after being sidelined since Week 1 with an injury. WR DeVonta Smith missed the Eagles’ last game with a concussion but participated fully in practice, indicating a likely return.

TE Dallas Goedert was the centerpiece of the Eagles’ aerial attack when Brown and Smith were sidelined, and the premier pass catcher ranks second in tight end receiving yards.

The Browns have one of the worst offenses in the NFL and are heading into the final game of a three-week road stretch. Cleveland failed to exceed the 16-point mark in the first two meetings.

If the Browns are still in the mud offensively in Week 6, that will create more possessions for Hurts’ passing yards to make money.

Player Prop Prediction by Jahmyr Gibbs

Under 21.5 yards

Opportunities: -115 at DraftKings Sportsbook ($10 bet pays $18.70)

The Lions face the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon at Jerry World.

Dallas is terrible against the run, allowing 135 rushing yards per game. Opposing ball carriers scored eight touchdowns against the Cowboys (second most in the NFL), and Big D could be without two of his best defenders in Week 6.

DE DeMarcus Lawrence is unfit and LB Micah Parsons is questionable after missing Week 5.

I expect the Lions to be run-heavy, controlling time of possession and limiting the Cowboys’ scoring opportunities. RB David Montgomery has a few more runs than Gibbs, but Jahmyr is Detroit’s rushing yards leader.

Gibbs had no pass targets in the Lions’ last two games, indicating offensive coordinator Ben Johnson’s desire to give Gibbs a larger workload out of the backfield.
