Noe Sushi Restaurant opens in South Miami

Noe Sushi Restaurant opens in South Miami

For over two decades, Noe Sushi Bar (stylized NOE), named after chef and co-owner Noe Carmona, has been popular in South America for its fusion of Japanese and Latin American flavors. With 30 locations across Ecuador, the restaurant is now making its U.S. debut in the former Mi’talia space in South Miami.

Noe Sushi Bar’s extensive menu includes cold and hot appetizers, ramen, traditional and specialty rolls, main courses, rice/noodles, and a mix of Noe favorites and Miami-only dishes.

Menu highlights include noe tataki, a mix of fish and filet mignon with chef’s sauce; mizutako, grilled octopus with Asian spices and vegetables; beef tenderloin ramen, a traditional dish with grilled beef, vegetables and soft-boiled egg; and sake ya roll, crab, masago, avocado and cream cheese wrapped in potato threads, topped with salmon. Dishes available only in Miami include Korean barbecue lamb tacos, pork belly tacos with avocado puree, tuna maguro tartare, butter truffle crab roll (marinated crab in rice paper with truffle butter) and hamachi jalapeno aguachile.

Sushi selections at Noe include the Makano, which combines maqueño, nori, squid, crab, sesame sauce and iku sake, with nori-wrapped salmon with ikura and lemon. Popular main dishes include the Mariscos Katsura, a creamy casserole of Japanese rice, corvina, Chilean mussels, squid, shrimp and vegetables. The Shrimp and Salmon Hibachi is served teppanyaki-style with various sauces and seasonings, sautéed vegetables and fried rice. Another highlight is the Lamb Ossobuco, which is cooked for 72 hours and served with risotto.

The space has also been renovated. The 280 square meter space features a new sushi bar with an elegant area that can accommodate 140 guests between the terrace and the dining room.

Noe Sushi Bar is located at 5958 South Dixie Highway and is open for lunch and dinner daily from noon to 10 p.m. Further information can be found here.
