Pluckers opens new location with many plans for community involvement

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Pluckers Wing Bar has opened its first location in College Station and the owners say they are excited to get involved in the community.

In addition to its extensive selection of wing flavors, unique appetizers and array of televisions, the restaurant also hopes to build relationships with members of the community.

“I think what makes Pluckers different is, you know, we have the great chicken wings, we have the beer, we have (TVs) everywhere,” said Dale White, Pluckers’ “Minister of Fun.” “But more than that, people like to come to Pluckers for an experience, and we want to give them an experience.”

The College Station Pluckers location is the first to include a pickleball court in the patio area, White said, and the goal is for customers to use the space to spend quality time with loved ones.

“You can come to Pluckers, hang out on the courts, eat chicken wings, drink a few beers and just have a good time with friends and family,” White said.

Other activities include quiz nights every Wednesday, free food for children on Tuesdays and free gifts for teachers on Fridays.

The restaurant is also the official after-party of the Texas A&M football team.

“We love giving back to the community and that’s what we’re all about,” White added. “We’re so happy to finally be here in College Station to be able to do this for everyone.”

The newest location opened for lunch on Monday and is located at 990 University Drive East behind McAllister’s and Willie’s.
