They do not denounce political expression.

At Citi Field, you can engage in political activity without being disturbed – although a Trump supporter recently claimed that stadium staff banned her from watching American sports while she was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Two Post reporters tested the Mets’ political tolerance during a game against the Nationals on Tuesday by each wearing a T-shirt campaigning for either former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris, along with a MAGA hat or a blue “Kamala Harris 2024” cap.

Many employees whose bleeds are blue and orange were excited to see MAGA red.

“Ayy, make America great again! I love it!” a security guard said to the Trump-clad clerk at the stadium entrance before sparing her the bag search.

The Harris-clad reporter received a cool reception and was told by security that he had to leave his backpack in a mobile locker outside before entering the stadium.

Other employees throughout the stadium spontaneously commented positively on the bright red political symbolism.

“Oh, a Trump supporter? Don’t worry, me too,” said a young concessionaire before handing out a generous portion of French fries and a hot dog.

However, not everyone was enthusiastic about the alleged Trump supporter.

Some fans made angry comments as the MAGA-clad reporter walked by, and an usher mocked her disapprovingly because the former president had spread rumors that Haitians were eating pets in Springfield, Ohio.

“I just wanted to make sure you weren’t eating dog,” the usher sniffed, eyeing the reporter’s food tray.

The stubborn staffer also told the reporter representing Harris: “I like your shirt.”

The acceptance of political attire represents a reversal from events just weeks earlier, when 64-year-old Trump supporter Aura Moody claimed she and a friend were denied entry to the baseball stadium because of their MAGA hats.

“A Mets employee made a mistake regarding our dress code,” the team said in August.
