The Longhorns are no longer undefeated.

No. 1 Texas couldn’t overcome a poor first-half performance against No. 5 Georgia on Saturday night, losing by a final score of 30-15.

Quinn Ewers struggled with turnovers throughout the game, as he threw an interception and fumbled the ball twice in the first quarter.

The Longhorns were down 20-0 early with Ewers still in the game, prompting head coach Steve Sarkisian to briefly bring substitute Arch Manning into the game. Manning also couldn’t find a rhythm in the pocket against Georgia’s defense, completing three of his six throws for 19 yards.

It was Ewers after all put back into the game to start the second half. He finished 25 of 43 for 211 yards and two touchdowns, accompanied by three turnovers, as fans lamented his struggles.

I’ve seen enough of Quinn Ewers over the last two seasons to know that he’s not really a guy. Arch Manning is the better player man. It’s so obvious!

Georgia scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, again extending its lead to double digits and securing the victory.

The Bulldogs overcame a subpar performance from Carson Beck, who passed for just 175 yards and threw three interceptions.

In addition to Ewers, the fans also criticized the entire team.

It’s hard to blame the defense when the only points come from the offense, which gives Georgia the damn ball in the redzone

Texas and Georgia now have identical 6-1 records after Saturday’s result.
