Hubballi: Bahnhofstrasse in Hubballi has been in need of urgent attention for some time. The entrance to the station is blocked by the sight of Drainage water flowing, creating an inhospitable atmosphere for passengers arriving in the city. The Rajakaluve at the entrance has been overflowing into the street for some time now.
The sewage on the street is an inconvenience for pedestrians and disrupts the operations of businesses in the area. The authorities neglect the maintenance of Rajakaluve and the cleanliness the area surrounding the station. Recent rainfall has made the situation even worse.

People travelling from Hubballi to different states and districts have expressed their dissatisfaction over the authorities’ failure to keep the entrance clean. Sewage flows up to Harsh Complex, creating difficulties for pedestrians while shopkeepers and travellers are afraid to navigate the area.

Expressing his concerns, Santosh Hanjagi, a passenger, said, “Passengers walk near the station entrance with their noses held. Hubballi railway station has a good reputation. The entrance should be designed in such a way that it attracts the passengers. Officials should work on keeping the surroundings of the station clean,” he demanded.
