Ray Davis scores the first touchdown of his career on Monday Night Football

Former Kentucky star Ray Davis is on the NFL board and scored his first official touchdown as a professional in Week 3 when his Buffalo Bills faced the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football.

The former Wildcat beat the visiting team late in the fourth quarter and was given more to do in the closing stages. He made the most of his efforts and found the end zone for the game’s final point with 4:04 left. The touchdown came from three yards out, Davis weaving his way through the defense and scoring the tough point and final exclamation point to complete the 47-10 victory.

Check out Davis’ first major career highlight:

He secured the win with 22 yards and a touchdown on seven 10-yard carries. His season total is 64 yards on 19 carries, and he caught three balls through the air for 14 yards.

Davis was selected by the Bills with the No. 128 pick in the fourth round after a historic career in Lexington. The 5-foot-10 playmaker finished his college career with 746 rushing attempts for 3,626 yards and 29 touchdowns and 94 pass catches for 762 yards and 12 touchdowns through the air. He was named to the First Team All-SEC after rushing for 1,129 yards and 14 touchdowns on 199 carries and 323 yards and seven touchdowns on 33 pass catches in his only season as a Wildcat.

Davis holds the record for most touchdowns in a season at Kentucky and picks up where he left off with the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.

And that success came to the big stage when he was featured on national television on Monday Night Football.
