Originally discovered by Wario64, a well-known leaker in the gaming industry, the PC port for Red Dead Redemption has, funnily enough, appeared on the PlayStation Store in an update to the description of the PS4 version of the game. The description states that players will soon be able to “Experience the epic Western adventures that defined a generation – now for the first time on PC.“It seems that a port of the game to the current generation of consoles is in the works, and whoever was responsible for describing the PS4 version confused it with the PC version.

However, it so happened that the description of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption mentions certain PC improvements that will be coming with the release. According to the description, these improvements will come in the form of support for higher resolutions and frame rates, multiple displays, spatial surround sound, and other accessories. Notably, the PC port will come with Undead Nightmare and will complete the single-player experiences of both games, while also including all of the bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.

Red Dead Redemption PC Description

Experience the epic Western adventures that defined a generation – now for the first time on PC.

When federal agents threaten his family, former outlaw John Marston is forced to hunt down the criminal gang he once called his friends. Experience Marston’s journey through the vast expanses of the American West and Mexico as he fights to bury his blood-stained past in the critically acclaimed prequel to the 2018 blockbuster, Red Dead Redemption 2. Also included is Undead Nightmare, the iconic horror story that transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into an apocalyptic fight for survival against a zombie horde.

Red Dead Redemption offers the complete single-player experience of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, all upgrades from the 2023 console version, and PC-specific improvements including support for higher resolutions and frame rates, multiple displays and other accessories, and spatial surround sound.*
