Other amenities include shower rooms and neck and shoulder massages. To enhance the experience even further, guests can avail of our ALLWAYS Meet & Greet service, which includes buggy transfers for a seamless and truly luxurious experience. This is currently only available in Hong Kong, but we plan to expand it globally to key locations within our international lounge network.

How do you see the airport lounge experience evolving over the next decade?

The evolution of the airport lounge experience will undergo remarkable change over the next decade due to technological advances and changing traveler expectations.

As the post-pandemic travel boom continues, global travel retail sales are expected to exceed $117 billion by 2030. This upturn in travel retail indicates a significant increase in passenger numbers and demand for premium services.

In the United Arab Emirates, the travel and tourism market is expected to experience exceptional growth. In the Travel and Tourism Development Index released by the World Economic Forum, the UAE has ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa region and 18th globally. In 2024, the market is expected to generate revenue of US$1,447 million, with a CAGR of 2.99 percent expected between 2024 and 2028. The UAE’s tourism industry is expected to account for 12 percent of the country’s GDP, equivalent to AED 236 billion.

In the future, airport lounges will increasingly become destinations in their own right, offering more than just a place to rest. The integration of technology will enable more seamless and personalized experiences, making travelers feel valued as individuals. As this evolution continues, there will also be a greater focus on sustainability to meet global trends and travelers’ preferences. Customization will play a key role as lounges transform into experience spaces where the focus is on optimizing time and maximizing experiences.
