Ryan Reynolds Reacts to Martha Stewart, Says He’s ‘Not That Funny’

Ryan Reynolds has responded to Martha Stewart on social media, claiming he’s “not that funny in real life.”

The Deadpool and Wolverine Star responded to her surprising comments in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, writing: “I wouldn’t agree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after about a mile.”

This week during an appearance at Bilt Rewards in November Rent free On the game show, Stewart told Bilt CEO and founder Ankur Jain that Reynolds was “very serious.” Her comments came after she was asked which celebrities she thought the Bilt members called “the most fun to hang out with.”

While the celebrity chef agreed that her boyfriend Snoop Dogg and Taylor Swift were on the list, she wasn’t entirely convinced by Reynolds.

“He’s probably only on the list because he hides in his films and you don’t see his face,” Stewart said at the time, adding, “And you want to know something? He’s not that funny in real life. No, he’s not that funny. He’s very serious.”

She later remarked that Reynolds, who is also her neighbor, was “a good actor.” He can be funny, but he’s not funny. Maybe he can be funny again.”

When asked who Stewart would put on the list alongside Snoop and Swift, she said: “George Clooney, because he’s fun. It’s really nice to spend time with George.”

Stewart is currently promoting her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchenwhich hits bookshelves on October 22nd. RJ Cutler’s Netflix documentary Martha also premiered on Wednesday.
