Home sales in San Diego County rose in July after a sluggish June, according to data from the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS.

Single-family home resales rose nearly nine percent in July compared to June. Townhomes rose nearly seven percent compared to the previous month. Single-family home sales rose over seven percent compared to July 2023.

The median price for single-family homes fell nearly three percent, but was still above the $1 million mark in July. Townhouses and condos cost around $700,000.

Compared to the previous year, prices for all house types have increased by about nine percent.

“We expect sales to continue to increase and look forward to seeing the ongoing impact as more families gain access to generational wealth through homeownership,” said SDAR President Spencer Lugash.

The most expensive single-family home sold in July was a custom-built estate in Rancho Santa Fe that sold for $15.5 million. Built in 2019, the home features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a cabana nestled between a resort pool and a small golf course.

92028 (Fallbrook) and 92056 (Oceanside East) were the two zip codes in San Diego County with over 40 single-family home sales in July.
