Series of robberies on food suppliers in Worcester under investigation

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating a series of food delivery robberies that share similarities, including all occurring in the same neighborhood.

In each case, the delivery drivers drove to an address where they were attacked by armed men. The robbers left the drivers unharmed, police said.

The robberies began on August 12, when a driver drove up to a home on Lund Street in the Vernon Hill neighborhood in the early morning hours. Two armed men greeted the driver and took cash.

The second robbery occurred just before midnight on Aug. 15 on Doane Street, less than a block southeast of Lund Street. The two men, who were waiting to receive the food, took the cash from the driver as he gave them change, police said.

The third robbery occurred on Sunday just before 10 p.m. on Esther Street, which intersects Lund Street. Two armed men stole the driver’s iPhone and cash.

Worcester Police are asking the public for information on who may have witnessed the robberies.
