PHOENIX (AZFamily) – Showers, thunderstorms and even some snow occurred across the state Sunday evening, with temperatures cooler than normal for this time of year.

Sunday’s high in Phoenix was 73 degrees, nine degrees cooler than normal. The possibility of isolated showers with a few storms will continue throughout the evening, with lingering rain and snow showers overnight in eastern Arizona.

Rainfall totals across the valley are expected to remain light at less than a tenth of an inch.

Strong winds are expected for the remainder of the evening in western Arizona, where a wind advisory remains in effect along the Colorado River, including areas such as Lake Havasu. Drier conditions are forecast to start the week, with temperatures trending cooler than normal this week.

The average high temperature in Phoenix is ​​82 degrees, and temperatures are expected to remain in the 70s throughout the work week.
