Simone Biles publishes to-do list for building Texas House

Simone Biles will have a new home to hang her 11 Olympic medals “in a few months” when construction on her Texas home is completed.

On Thursday, August 22, the gymnast shared a video on her Instagram Stories to give a sneak peek at the nearly finished kitchen in the waterfront mansion she and her NFL husband Jonathan Owens are building.

Biles, 27, paired a to-do list with a mirror selfie taken inside the property: “House meetings all day,” Biles wrote, adding that she was also working on landscaping and pool planning, as well as audio and security equipment.

Her new progress report comes just nine days after she posted photos of the home under construction, including the kitchen, a dressing room, a large shower, a possible gym and other parts of the house.

Biles began giving her fans a glimpse into her home-building journey in 2023 – even the setbacks she and Owens have experienced. “I can’t handle this anymore,” she wrote on Instagram in November 2023, telling her followers that a few problems had been discovered during what she called the “trimming walk.”

However, her update on Thursday was more optimistic.

“I’m so excited to make this house a HOME… just a few more months,” she captioned a video that panned around her kitchen and added a smiley face at the end.

Biles’ updates on her home after the Paris Olympics and her time at home recently prompted her to admit on August 12 that she has “never been happier.”

The Olympic champion may also have a new luxury car to park in her new home.

On Thursday, Biles also shared a photo of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 550 SUV, also known as the G Wagon, which costs between $149,400 and $175,000 depending on the vehicle trim selected. “🥹🙌🏾👀🫢,” she wrote over a photo of it.

The house project is the latest milestone for Biles and Owens, who became engaged in February 2022 after meeting on the dating app Raya in March 2020. They tied the knot in a civil ceremony in April 2023 and then celebrated a wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
