PETALUMA, CA — The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District is expanding the service area of its SMART Connect Airport Shuttle, an on-demand service like Uber or Lyft that transports SMART train passengers to and from SMART’s Sonoma County Airport Station and the surrounding area.

Starting Monday, the 12-seat, all-electric SMART Connect shuttle will expand its on-demand service to the east side of U.S. Highway 101, including to and from the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, Sutter Pacific Hospital and Clinics, and the California Indian Museum & Cultural Center.

During the week, the shuttle provides on-demand transportation to and from the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport and the surrounding business district. On weekends, the shuttle provides transportation to and from the airport train station and 30 wineries and breweries.
