Something special from Wisconsin – members bring the blue home

Members Successful at 2024 Wisconsin State Grand Champion Eats and Treats Competition

MADISON, Wis. — Members of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) have something special out of Wisconsin (SSFThe W) program won 33 of 41 awards in the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Eats and Treats competition earlier this month.

“We congratulate all winners and participants of the 2024 Grand Champion Eats and Treats competition,” said Lois Federman, SSFW Director. “Thank you to the Wisconsin State Fair staff for making this event a success and providing small to medium sized businesses with an opportunity to out of Wisconsin companies can showcase their culinary creations. The results of the competition are proof that SSFW companies produce products of the highest quality and desirability. The special out of The Wisconsin logo gives products instant recognition and credibility and helps differentiate them from the rest.”

The Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Eats and Treats competition is open to Wisconsin professional food companies with annual sales under $1 million and highlights small to medium-sized companies in the food processing industry. Judging was done in several categories including Blissful Beverages, Delightful Dips, Digging Dietary Finds, Fruitful Fruits, Lip Smacking Sauces, Mixing It Up, Relishing Relishes & Radiant Rubs, Sensational Snacks, Sweet Treats and Verstile Vegetables. The event was rounded out by Best of Something Special awards. out of Wisconsin and Best in Show categories.
