Stars of ‘Chicago Med,’ ‘Fire,’ and ‘PD’ Preview Cast Changes, Drama and Action (Exclusive)

The casts of the three One Chicago shows—Med, FireAnd PDwhose new seasons all premiere on NBC on Wednesday, September 25, are excited to be back with promising action-packed and dramatic episodes, as TV Insider reveals in an exclusive first look.

All three series have new actors this season – Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet as new lecturers in MedDermot Mulroney as new Fire Chief, and Toya Turner as new patrol officer on PD– and in our new video you can see some of them in action.

“It’s great to be here Chicago Fire”, says Mulroney. “I think they have two more shows, right? Chicago Med And Chicago Police”

PD Stars Patrick John Flueger and Jason Beghe joke about getting straight into it, saying they’re “getting right into it” and “getting started right away.” It’s exactly what we’d expect. “It’s like after summer vacation,” Flueger adds. “There’s that part of you that wants to get back to the schoolyard so you can hang out and play with your friends.” This sentiment is shared by several people on the shows.

“Every cast member came back because they wanted to serve the story first and foremost,” says PDby LaRoyce Hawkins.

“Everyone is doing their best, and I think I fit right in,” says Ramos. (Her character, showrunner Allen MacDonald told us in our extended One Chicago Fall preview, is all about “being efficient,” not making friends.)

Mulroney announces that the new season will begin “literally with a bang.” Chicago Fire Season 13 premiere photos hinted at that and this new video shows more of it. He comes in as the new chief, replacing Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a “pretty big shake-up at the firehouse,” according to Fire‘s Daniel Kyri. “Chief Pascal is very different from Boden, and he makes that clear,” says Miranda Rae Mayo.
