As if the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injury woes couldn’t get any worse, wide receiver Van Jefferson was taken out of the game with an eye injury and his return is questionable.

This comes after rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson was listed as inactive for the Week 3 game, leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers with only three active wide receivers for the game: George Pickens, Calvin Austin and Scotty Miller. So far, we’ve seen Miller more involved in the offense.

The last thing the Steelers needed was more potential problems on offense. It’s safe to say the Pittsburgh Steelers will continue to run the ball, focus on strong TE sets, utilize pass-catching RB/WR hybrid Cordarrelle Patterson, and utilize more quarterback-planned runs to mitigate this depth problem.
