Suki Waterhouse brought her flair for It-girl fashion to the VMAs red carpet.

The “Good Looking” singer, who recently gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, looked glamorous as she walked the red carpet at New York’s UBS Arena on Wednesday night, home of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

For the occasion, she wore a striking all-black look that was elegant throughout, with just a hint of red carpet drama. The outfit was a silky little black dress with a cup bra and cutouts at the waist from where the midi skirt flowed. Over the elegant piece, Waterhouse wore a cropped black fur jacket and completed the vamp look with pointy black heels.

Waterhouse is one of tonight’s honorees, alongside other celebrities including Halle Bailey, Tinashe, Paris Hilton, Addison Rae and Big Sean. Tonight also marks her first appearance at the annual ceremony.

This Friday, Waterhouse will release a new double album, Memoirs of a Sparkle Muffin. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar“My last album was very much about this kind of sadistic relationship that I was trying to overcome for a long time,” she recalled. “And I think this album is like my head is above water… I’m in this new phase of my life that feels really exhilarating.”

Of the startling title, which is inspired by a colorful species of spider, Waterhouse explained: “It’s one of those things where I think: if you get it, you get it. I wanted something that leaned toward the ridiculous and felt a little bit weird and a little bit fabulous. … The world is kind of violent and you can be disemboweled and eaten at any moment, and we’re in this, kind of beautiful and also, kind of devastating dance together.”

Offline, she’s probably spending too much time on TikTok, rewatching Emma (the 2020 version, of course), or buying another corset.
