What you need to know:

Hope Osemwenkhae, meteorologist with the Storm Watch Team, predicts it will be another glorious day with temperatures ranging between 25 and almost 27 degrees Celsius.



ON THE TRAIL OF THE TROPICS: There are two areas of interest in the tropics that have moderate to high chances of development this week. Tropical Storm Francine will strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane later today. Life-threatening storm surge, dangerous flooding, and hurricane-force winds will impact parts of the Upper Texas and Louisiana coasts. It is expected to strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane before making landfall as a Category 1 hurricane between Lake Charles and New Orleans on Wednesday. There is a risk of flash flooding in parts of the Mid-South and southern Mississippi through the end of this week. This storm will not impact our area.



TODAY: Sunny, warm and pleasant. Highs around 78.



TONIGHT: Cool, clear and pleasant. Lows around 60.

WEDNESDAY: Another beauty, bright, warm with low humidity. Highs 80. Lows around 63.

THURSDAY: Sunny and warm. Noticeably humid. Highs around 82. Lows around 65.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, warm, feels great. Slightly humid. Highs around 85. Lows around 66.

SATURDAY: Sunny, summery warm with some humidity. Highs around 84. Lows around 66.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, warm and humid. Highs around 81. Lows around 64.

MONDAY: Sun, clouds, warm and pleasant. Highs around 77. Lows around 63.
