One of the most popular comic book adaptations on the small screen gets its swan song: Season 4 of Superman & Lois takes us to Metropolis and Smallville one last time.

Originally it was planned to run for at least seven seasons. Due to changes at The CW and the deal with DC Comics, the series starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the title characters will come to an end much sooner than superhero fans would have liked. The good news is that the show will end with a bang.

The ten-episode final season follows on from the dramatic cliffhanger ending of season three, which saw Clark battle Lex Luthor’s monstrous creation, Doomsday. Ostensibly a loose adaptation of the Death of Superman comic, early reviews described the opening episodes of this final series as both “dark” and “heartbreaking.”

Here’s how to stream Superman & Lois season 4 without a cable or satellite subscription.
