You can purchase a variety of licenses through the official TPWD website or in person at locations throughout Texas and at TPWD offices. You can also purchase them by phone at (800) 895-4248. However, please note that there is a $5 administrative fee for phone and online purchases.

The digital license option will be available online on August 15. If you have a digital license, you will not receive a printed license or tags and will need to keep your digital license available on the go via your mobile device. Digital license holders must apply digital tags via the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app.

Hunting and fishing regulations for the 2024-25 season are available online at outdoorannual.com. While you’re there, download the free app that will make your life easier. The app also lets you look up your license and find hunting seasons and regulations by location.

The app now has a new name, The Texas Hunt & Fish (it was previously called My Texas Hunt Harvest). The app allows you to submit mandatory hunt reports, including alligator gar reports, and supports digital tagging of harvested deer, turkey, oversized redfish and spotted seatrout for certain license holders. You can also complete your on-site registration for several TPWD public hunting areas.

Be sure to enter the Lifetime License Drawing. Three people will each win a Lifetime Super Combo License and never have to buy a Texas hunting or fishing license again. Admission is $5 and you can purchase licenses online, at a licensed dealer, or by phone. The first deadline to enter is September 30th.
