The Age chain closes on Labor Day

Spirit Halloween is going to be bigger than ever this year.

The seasonal retailer will open a record 1,525 stores in the U.S. and Canada this year, most of which (over 1,100) are already open. You can find stores at Here.

Spirit’s theme for this year’s Halloween season is “Spirit Carnevil,” offering shoppers an in-store experience that includes a large carnival area with an archway, several booths, and a fun house.

Earlier this year, Spirit announced it would hire 50,000 seasonal sales associates and store managers this year to support its stores. Last year, the chain said it would hire 40,000 employees for a similar number of stores.

“The Halloween fan base continues to grow and our incredible team works year-round to create an unparalleled and unique store experience that will captivate customers all season long,” said Steven Silverstein, CEO of Ghost Halloween. “Visiting a Spirit Halloween store is more than just shopping – it’s entertainment, it’s tradition, it creates moments and memories with family and friends that bring the magic of Halloween to life, and we’re so excited to welcome fans back to the show.”
