The last pre-wipe event for “Escape From Tarkov” includes an emergency sale

A new event was started in Escape from Tarkov where merchants sell their goods for just one ruble, which will likely be the last pre-wipe event before the big 0.15 update next week.

As with all pre-wipe events so far, it was first announced on the official Escape from Tarkov Social media accounts feature an image of a vendor standing next to a sign saying he is selling items for a single ruble, by far the most obvious reference to events so far.

If you now boot Tarkov and go to the merchants tab. There you will see that they are selling almost all of their items for just one ruble. This means that for just a few coins you can assemble pretty much any gear you want. However, at the time of writing, the stockpiles have not been lifted yet, so you may not be able to buy as much as you would like. This is likely an oversight and will hopefully be fixed in the next few hours to get Tarkov into full chaos mode.

If you are not yet ready in your Tarkov experience, but the good news is that all merchants have now reached the maximum level, so you now have access to everything they sell and are no longer limited by your loyalty level.

The Fire Sale event is usually the last event before the wipe, before the next patch starts and deletes all progress. It usually lasts about 48 hours and sends the world of Tarkov in chaos as everyone starts using the most expensive equipment available since there are basically no financial restrictions anymore. However, the flea market is still closed since the last event, so some rarer items may not be available unless you get lucky and find them.

Of course, all other pre-wipe events are still active, so Scavs have top gear, there is explosive shotgun ammo, and hideout upgrades can still be unlocked for beer.

All these events end with the next Escape from Tarkov The wipe will take place on Tuesday, August 20th. On this day, all progress and inventories in PvP mode will be erased and all players will have to start over from scratch. This means that these final days of the wipe will be your last chance to play around with top-level weapons for a while.

With the new wipe comes Patch 0.15, which is set to bring a ton of new content like a new factory map, new weapons, and a new boss. However, one of its new features has me worried about the future of PvP and might be enough to make me switch to PvE for this wipe to see how it plays out.
