Disney’s Animal Kingdom is an underrated park when it comes to food. When it comes to food at Disney World, you often hear people talk about EPCOT or Magic Kingdom and what they have to offer, but you rarely hear people talk about the food at Animal Kingdom – which is a mistake. There’s an underrated restaurant hidden in the Asian section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom that’s one of our favorites. It’s pretty easy to reserve a table, it has a wide variety of choices, and it serves huge portions. Here’s why you need to reserve the Yak and Yeti Restaurant ASAP.

Yak and Yeti is located in the Asian section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When you’re looking at the Tree of Life, head to the right, past the Adventurers Outpost and across the bridge. Right there you’ll find the Yak and Yeti restaurant. Because of its proximity to the front of the park, it’s a great option even if you just want to stop by and have dinner. It’s also close to Expedition Everest, so you can grab a bite to eat after visiting there.

The Yak and Yeti Restaurant has an interesting backstory. Everywhere you look, there are Southeast Asian artifacts, making it visually appealing. The restaurant is best described as eclectic, thanks to its lavish decor. Describing its theme and history on the back of the menu, the restaurant says that it was owned by Arjun, a resident of Anandapur who was struggling and decided to convert his house into the Yak and Yeti Hotel.

Yak and Yeti’s history and location aren’t the only cool things about the restaurant. The food is pretty amazing too. The menu is influenced by Southeast Asia and has something for every taste. From pork pot stickers to egg rolls, wonton soup, lo mein noodles and stir-fried dishes, there are so many delicious options to explore on the menu. Here are some of our favorites:

Prices

One of the best aspects of Yak and Yeti is the relatively affordable prices for any budget. You can find main dishes for less than $30 each and for that price you get a large portion. We’re all about value for money here, so the fact that this is a great value and the amount of food you get is amazing.

Reservations

You can make reservations at Yak and Yeti in two ways. The first is the typical way through the My Disney Experience app. The other option is to call Yak and Yeti directly. This option has only been available as a Landry’s member so far, so I’m not sure if you can do it if you’re not a Landry’s member, but it’s worth a try.

What makes Yak and Reti Restaurant so great

As mentioned, Yak and Yeti offers unique food at a reasonable price and with large portions. It is easily accessible as it is located near the entrance to Animal Kingdom. We think the food here tastes amazing and it is definitely a hidden gem in Animal Kingdom.
