She continued, “After that discussion, we heard from Ms. Delvey’s attorney, who strongly disagreed with our statement that she still owes people money. He argued that that statement falsely suggests that she still owes compensation to her fraud victims, and he provided a document from the Office of Victim Services that he says proves that Ms. Delvey’s entire damages have been fully repaid and all victims have been fully compensated.”

Griffin ended the segment by saying to the audience: “We are all looking forward to the new season of Dancing with the starsPremiering tomorrow night here on ABC.”

In response to Griffin’s statement, a representative for Delvey said: Weekly entertainment by email: “We are grateful that The view has corrected her false and defamatory statements about Ms. Delvey. EW also contacted representatives of Dancing with the stars and the New York Office of Victim Services for comment.

On the Sept. 6 broadcast, Griffin claimed that Delvey “still owes people money and scammers tend to remain scammers, so I would just say if you’re around her, I would be cautious of any schemes that she might be cooking up,” as the panel broke down the season 33 cast of contestants who will compete DWTS.

During the conversation, Goldberg also said of Russian-born Delvey: “I don’t understand why she’s allowed to stay in the United States,” because “I listen to people complaining about what’s happening at the border, and I listen to people complaining about all these people who shouldn’t be here, what the hell, man? How does that work?”
