If you want to admire the splendor of autumn leaves, there is no place like the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

The mountains provide a stunning backdrop for the brilliant, golden-orange fall foliage that dots the landscape, drawing people from all over to enjoy the views and buy some apple fritters. But where’s the best place to do it?

New data from travel website Priceline suggests that one particular village stands out from the rest, ranking among the top eight nationwide.

According to Priceline, Bretton Woods is the best place in New Hampshire for leaf viewing, ranking third out of the top eight places for leaf viewing.

Bretton Woods is very close to Crawford Notch, one of the most famous hiking areas in the White Mountains due to its proximity to the Presidential Range. It is also home to the famous Omni Mt. Washington Hotel, where you can sip a cocktail on the wraparound porch and enjoy the view if hiking isn’t your thing. Another option would be to take in the sights in comfort on the Mount Washington Cog Railway.

For the more adventurous, there’s the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour zipline, which takes leaf-gazers right into the treetops. The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour features nine ziplines, two sky bridges and three rappels, according to the Bretton Woods website.
