The development opportunities for Caribbean Disruption 95L are increasing again

National Hurricane Center forecasters continue to monitor progress Invest 94L in the Atlantic and have now designated a disturbance in the western Caribbean Sea as Invest 95L, which could develop into a tropical depression tropical storm near Central America.

The chances of both disruptions developing are slim, but for Invest 95L these chances have slowly increased.

FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross said hostile atmospheric conditions over Florida and the northern Gulf of Mexico are expected to prevent potential tropical systems from threatening the U.S. for the foreseeable future.

The hurricane season in the Atlantic basin is nearing its end and will go down in the record books as an unusual year. Impacts in the U.S. have been well above average, but many long-range hurricane forecasts appear to have missed the mark in predicting the number of storms, expecting nearly double what has happened so far.

Here’s what we can expect as hurricane season enters its final weeks.
