Monday is back, that’s a shame. It’s not that I don’t care about the weekend or the work week at all when it comes to work. I work every day. I make no distinction. Often my weekends are busier than my week because there is so much going on on the weekend and I squeeze in time for family, friends and everything else. In a way, Monday could be the start of my actual weekend!

But I have to get up to take the kids to school and at this point, after a hectic weekend, I could really use some more sleep. Well yes!

Word analysis

Every day I look at Wordle Bot to analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

TROPE didn’t give me the best start, but it wasn’t the worst either. With 154 words anything was possible. Unfortunately for your humble narrator, STAIN didn’t make it, leaving me with a whopping 20 words and just two yellow boxes. I guess I was blaming myself at this point, because the best word I could think of was ERROR, and that did the job – or at least it almost did. Only one word remained: GAMUT for victory!

Today’s Wordle etymology

The word Color scale comes from medieval music theory. It comes from the combination of “gamma,” the Greek letter representing the lowest note of the scale, and “ut,” the first syllable of a medieval hymn that used solfège (a method of music teaching). Over time, Color scale expanded to mean the entire range of notes, and later it was used more generally to describe any complete range or spectrum.
