Tom Brady reveals what he is “very excited about” after commentating on the first NFL game

Tom Brady made his first appearance as lead co-commentator for FOX on Sunday, joining Kevin Burkhardt in calling the Dallas Cowboys’ 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

It was Brady’s first time doing live commentary on an NFL game after spending countless hours practicing his craft. He couldn’t wait to get started, expressing that on “FOX NFL Sunday” before the games began.

As Dallas wrapped up the win, Brady talked about the moment he commentated on his first game, echoing a statement Michael Strahan made earlier in the day.

“I’ve used my arm and my body for so many years. Now I can walk into a stadium and use my voice. Maybe I’ll go out there tomorrow morning and throw a few passes just to remember what it feels like,” Brady said.

“As Michael Strahan told me before the game, ‘You’re going to wake up Monday morning and you’re not going to be in pain.’ I’m very happy about that.”

When FOX studio analysts announced their players of the day, Strahan chose Brady.

“I’m talking about the person who’s not even on the field, but probably puts more pressure on than any other player on the field – Tom Brady. Congratulations, Tom. Welcome to FOX,” Strahan said. “You got your first win, big boy. Who won the day? For me, Tom Brady.”

More reps will only make Brady better. The NFL legend will be back in the locker room in two weeks when the Cowboys play the Baltimore Ravens on September 22 on FOX.
