TownHall restaurant owner charged with attempted murder and rape in Cleveland

Ohio restaurateur Bobby George faces multiple charges in connection with alleged domestic violence in Cleveland.

Cleveland Municipal Court records show that George, 43, the owner of TownHall, REBol and other restaurants, was charged on August 9 with attempted murder, rape, aggravated assault, two counts of strangulation and four counts of kidnapping.

An arrest warrant states that the alleged incidents occurred between November 14, 2023, and July 27, 2024.

After an incident in November, a nurse employed by Goerges’ company diagnosed the victim with post-concussion syndrome, according to records.

The documents describe another incident in which George allegedly followed a victim to her car, pointed a gun at the window and ordered her to exit the vehicle, and held the gun to her stomach as she got out.

Police alleged he tried to kill a woman in June by “stuffing a towel down her throat and saying, ‘Do you think God will help you?’ while she prayed in the chamber that she would not die.”

In July, documents alleged that he sexually assaulted the victim after she got out of the shower and later threw her into a closet as she tried to escape.

WEWS in Cleveland said George was not in custody.

The filing shows that a motion for a temporary protective order was granted on August 10.
