The Dolphins currently have a quarterback problem with Tua Tagovailoa on the injured list.

Tua suffered another concussion and was placed on the injured list. He will be out for at least four weeks.

Backup quarterback Skylar Thompson will take over in the meantime, but has not proven to be the best option.

In his career, he has only started two games, passing for 614 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

The Dolphins have signed former Ravens backup Tyler Huntley to replace Thompson until Tua potentially returns.

Huntley has more starting experience in his career, throwing for 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Huntley also has running potential, running for 509 yards and three touchdowns.

Even though they have Huntley and Thompson on the roster, that may not be enough for the Dolphins.

Cam Newton was reportedly spotted at the Miami Dolphins’ practice, but the reason for the visit was unclear.

Regardless of whether he was there for a potential job or not, Tyreek Hill made it clear that he doesn’t want him around.

“This team already has too many kids,” Hill wrote on X.

Newton was once one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and was named MVP in 2015.

In his career, he averaged 32,382 passing yards with 194 touchdowns and 5,628 rushing yards with 75 touchdowns.

Although he was once one of the all-time greats, Newton is now 35 years old and well past his prime. He probably wouldn’t be a good option for the Dolphins. Plus, he hasn’t played in the NFL since 2021.

Dolphins fans quickly made it clear on social media that they did not want to see Newton make a comeback to the team.
