US presidential election 2024: TikTok creator criticizes Kamala Harris and Oprah Winfrey after video was used in interview without consent

A digital video creator on TikTok criticized the Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Oprah Winfrey’s team for using her video without permission during a recent town hall meeting. TikTok user Blaire Allison attacked Harris, vowing not to vote for her and criticizing the lack of notification from Winfrey’s team.

The town hall talk aired last Thursday and featured clips of Americans expressing concern about the rising cost of living, including a clip from Allison’s TikTok account, where she asked, “How can people afford to live right now?”

This TikTok video was originally posted in November 2023.

Allison used TikTok again after her four-second clip was shown on television during Oprah’s interview with Harris.

In her new video, Allison imitated Harris’ speaking style.

“I do not support Harris for president,” she said, criticizing her leadership. She also revealed that Oprah Winfrey’s team had not asked permission to use her video, so she did not know it would be released.

“I made it very clear that I do not support Kamala Harris at all,” Allison said in the video.

In an email to Fox News Digital, she said she did not prioritize Americans under Harris and that there was no plan to improve their living conditions, Sky News reported.

Allison’s original TikTok highlighted the financial struggles of average Americans, particularly teachers and minimum wage earners, pointing out the impact of inflation and the high cost of living.

She expressed disappointment at the lack of communication from Winfrey’s team, saying, “I was disappointed that such a well-known talk show did not even inform me that they were using my clip.”

Harris’ appearance at the town hall was part of the “Unite for America Rally,” where she addressed issues. While Harris has been on the run since announcing her presidential candidacy, Joe Biden resigned from the White House on July 21 After the debacle at the debate with former President Donald Trump in Atlanta, she has started giving more interviews in recent weeks.
