After a tumultuous offseason that saw Stefon Diggs move to the Houston Texans, he faced his former team for the first time on Sunday and led the Texans to a 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

On the other side was Diggs’ former teammate, quarterback Josh Allen, who had a shaky performance, completing just 9 of 30 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

At the end of the game, Allen searched the field for Diggs and hugged his former four-year teammate.

“I love him very much. I still do,” Allen said reporter regarding Diggs last week. “The things he did for me in my career and the things he did in a Buffalo Bills uniform are things I won’t soon forget, especially by me.”

In the win, Diggs recorded six receptions for 82 yards, while his new quarterback, CJ Stroud, completed 28 of 38 passes for 331 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Next Sunday, the Bills travel to MetLife Stadium to play the New York Jets and the Texans travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots.
