Voter Registration Deadline Approaching, Ways to Register

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The deadline to register to vote is Wednesday at 5 p.m

You can obtain the registration form from your local board of elections or register online through the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you can’t meet the Wednesday deadline, there are a few other options, such as: B. Same-day registration for early voting, which runs from October 17th to November 2nd. There you will need to bring a photo ID and proof of residency.

Photo ID is required for all types of voting, including on Election Day.

“The Board of Elections office is offering free photo ID for those who do not have photo ID. We can only print these for registered voters. So you have to meet that deadline or register the same day and then we can issue you a photo ID,” said Caitlin Sabadish, elections director for Carteret County.

On Wednesday, the Carteret County Board of Elections will hold a voter event at the Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center. There, they help residents over 50 understand their choices and obtain photo identification.
