“We will take this country back” and “Make it great again”

Zachary Levi supported Donald Trump at a rally in Michigan on Saturday before introducing former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on stage. The “Shazam!” actor was at the “Team Trump’s Reclaim America Tour” event to moderate a conversation with Kennedy and Gabbard.

“We are here to make sure we take back this land. We’ll make it great again. We will make it whole,” Levi said on stage. “And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone else who stands with President Trump. Because I believe that of the two options we have, and we only have two, Donald Trump is the man who can get us there. And he will get us there because he will have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that is there in Robert Kennedy Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.”

In his speech, the actor discussed his background as a factor in his decision. “I grew up in a Christian conservative family, so that was largely the path we were on,” he said. “My parents were Kennedy Democrats who became Reagan Republicans, and they taught me to have a healthy level of distrust of government and a healthy level of distrust of industry run amok.”

Levi stated that his ideal candidate is Kennedy, but in the absence of that option, he believes Trump is the next best choice.

“For a long time I thought, ‘Man, I really want to find a politician who represents all the things that I want and that I want to see in a presidential candidate.’ And this year I found Bobby Kennedy and I thought, ‘Man, this guy is it.’ He’s crazy.’ And in a perfect world, whatever that would be, I might have voted for Bobby,” Levi said at the Michigan rally. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken country, we live in a country that has been hijacked by many people who want to tear this place far off the cliff. And we want to stop that, right?”

Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign in August and announced he would support Trump for president instead.

“In my heart, I no longer believe that I have a realistic path to election victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control,” Kennedy said at the time. He added: “First and foremost, three big reasons drove me to enter this race, and those are the main reasons that drove me to leave the Democratic Party, run as an independent, and now pledge my support to President Trump .” ”
