When do the polling stations open?

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, and voters can cast their ballot for the 2024 general election in El Paso County at any voting center.

Texans will vote for president, U.S. senator, all 38 U.S. representatives and several key state and local offices, including Texas Supreme Court justices, district attorneys and sheriffs.

Early voting ended Friday, November 1st. A total of 182,607 ballots were cast Friday, representing nearly 35% early voting turnout, according to a post from the El Paso County Elections Department.

No. The last day to register to vote in Texas was October 7th.

Acceptable photo IDs for voting in person in Texas

US military ID with photo of the person
US citizenship certificate with photo of the person
US passport (book or card)
Anyone who does not have one of these forms of identification and is unable to obtain one can fill out a Reasonable Disability Declaration form at the polling place and provide an alternative form of identification, such as a utility bill, bank statement, government check or voter registration certificate.

Sun Metro is offering free rides on Election Day

Sun Metro is offering free rides to residents going to the polls on Election Day. Residents can board any Brio or regular bus without the need for a passport or documents.
