Why Travis Kelce Skipped Taylor Swift’s New Orleans Eras Tour Shows

Why Travis Kelce Skipped Taylor Swift’s New Orleans Eras Tour Shows

Taylor Swift is back on stage this weekend in the second city of her final Eras tour leg: New Orleans. Swift opened the first of three shows in The Big Easy on Friday night. Unsurprisingly, her boyfriend Travis Kelce wasn’t in the audience.

Kelce’s next game is Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. This time the team is playing against the Raiders in Las Vegas. Swift will be performing on Sunday night and therefore will not be able to attend Kelce’s game.

Kelce and Swift had similar scheduling conflicts last weekend. The singer performed three nights in Miami while Kelce and the Chiefs won their road game against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.

During her Friday and Sunday shows, Swift secretly gave a little shout-out to Kelce, singing, “Karma is the guy from the Chiefs coming right to my house…”). Kelce’s brother Jason and his family also attended Swift’s Friday show.

On this week’s episode of the Kelce Brothers Podcast: New heightsKelce talked about how much he regretted missing his girlfriend’s concerts in Miami.

“I had all the FOMO in the world because all the family and a lot of our friends were there,” the tight end said. “I had a few friends who were also down on the stage who had been to some shows overseas and they said the same thing as you, that Miami Stadium was just on another level. And man, I wish I was there. I wish I was there.”

Swift will play her next shows Friday, November 1st through Sunday, November 3rd in Indianapolis. Kelce may be able to attend one of those exhibitions as the Chiefs play at their home stadium on Monday, November 4th. Swift could also attend Kelce’s game since she won’t be far from Kansas City, Missouri.

Last-minute tickets are still available for Swift’s remaining concert dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. For more shopping information, see below.
