Why we’re excited (Pop Shop Podcast)

Why we’re excited (Pop Shop Podcast)

You and I will live forever – or at least long enough to see Oasis reunite. On Tuesday (August 27), 15 years after their last performance together, estranged brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher agreed to a truce and announced 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer.

In the new Billboard Pop Shop podcast, Katie and Keith talk about the unexpected announcement of the reunion tour and why Katie is already planning her trip for summer 2025.

We also talk about Sabrina Carpenter’s new Short and sweet album and their darkly comic music video for “Taste.” We also have chart news on how Post Malone’s first country album, F-1 billionlands at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts across all genres. At the same time, many of his songs are creating traffic jams on the Billboard Hot 100, including notable debuts from two country veterans: Dolly Parton and Hank Williams, Jr. Additionally, “Die With a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga makes a big debut on the Hot 100.

The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast is your one-stop shop for all things pop on the weekly Billboard charts. You can always count on lively discussion of the latest pop news, fun chart stats and stories, new music and guest interviews with music stars and people from the world of pop. Casual pop fans and chart junkies can hear Billboard’s Executive Digital Director West Coast, Katie Atkinson, and Billboard’s Managing Director of Charts and Data Operations, Keith Caulfield, each week on the podcast, which can be streamed on Billboard.com or downloaded in Apple Podcast or your preferred podcast provider.
