Xcel Energy (XEL) Q3 earnings and revenue estimates miss estimates

Xcel Energy (XEL) reported quarterly earnings of $1.25 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.29 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.23 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for one-time items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -3.10%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this utility would post earnings of $0.55 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.54, which corresponds to a surprise of -1.82%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has topped consensus EPS estimates just once.
