The Crew’s loss to Inter Miami on Wednesday left a window open for Cincy. They are one point behind Columbus and have a game in hand. A win today would keep the pressure on the Crew heading into next weekend’s catch-up game against the Revs and perhaps keep the pressure on them heading into Decision Day. Remember, they are fighting for the right to host a seemingly inevitable Hell Is Real meeting in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs.

There are several things at stake for Orlando. First and foremost, they are fighting to retain the home playoff spot they have fought for over the past few months. A win today would give them a lead of at least two points heading into decider day. Second, they are playing for a decisive win in the regular season. We haven’t seen them beat anyone better than Charlotte FC at this point in the year. They still have a lot to prove.

Colorado Rapids vs. Seattle Sounders FC

It’s a straight six-point game in the Mid-West with just two games left. Seattle has at least a fighting chance of finishing second and could potentially clinch a home playoff spot with a win.

Colorado is in a more precarious position. The Rapids are almost as close to a home playoff berth as they are to slipping into a wild card spot. A loss today coupled with a win by Minnesota or Portland could make decision day very, very nervous.
